Biathlon Hochfilzen
In the winter months you might be forgiven for thinking that people in Hochfilzen are obsessed (well almost) by the biathlon. But it’s hardly surprising, for there’s a surprising amount at stake in this interesting sport!
Each year in December, you see, Hochfilzen hosts a Biathlon World Cup event. What’s more, Hochfilzen is the venue for various military championships in cross-country skiing and the biathlon. But even non-professionals can try their hand at the biathlon – the ‘biathlon for everyone’ is held every Tuesday and Thursday (between December and Easter).
